REIMAGINING ECONOMY FROM THE GROUND UP

REIMAGINING ECONOMY

FROM THE GROUND UP

Economy is the conversation between Nature and Culture. It is the transactional dialogue between humans and earth.

It is also the most fundamental system humans have created, touching on every aspect of our impact on the planet and each other.

We believe that we cannot solve the meta-crisis we are facing without addressing the underlying assumptions of our current economic system, in particular the premises of endless growth and consumption, the pursuit of self-interest above all else, and the externalizations of costs.

It is time to Reimagine Economy.

We believe that what is ours to do is to help create pilot projects at scale in order to demonstrate how a regenerative economy can rewrite the essential conversation between humans and Earth.

We are building upon the already existing framework of 'Special Economic Zones' to create a new kind of template:

a Regenerative Economic Zone (REZ).

One that embodies the ethics and values aligned with the foundations of life on Earth, and enables the protection and the flourishing of the natural world we are inextricably intertwined with, as well as the celebration of human health and wellness.

We are building a Mutual Credit system, Web3 infrastructure, and an algorithmic feedback mechanism for a regenerative economy. We are working in three bioregions and closely with an indigenous people in the Amazon to prototype how economy and earth flourishing can go hand in hand. If successful, this approach could protect up to 80 million acres of land and create a prototype for other areas.

The following three videos offer an overview of our approach:

SANE - Reimagining Economy

SANE - The Sane Economy

SANE - A Network of Resilient Bioregions

Our prototype launch is currently planned with the Shaur Nation of Ecuador on over two million acres of Amazon Rainforest, ensuring the perpetuity of the indigenous ways of living with their land, while bringing recovery to what has been lost. Initial on-the-ground projects include a Marketplace, a Temple of Wisdom, and Forest Regeneration.
